Since its setting up in 2002, InS has been aspiring to offer a whole know-how in the field of Tribology and Lubrication, drawing on both very high level multi-disciplinary human skills and high-performance equipments.
With this solid basis, InS quickly made innovation the strategic goal of its development, proposing to its customers, who do wait for specialized answers and minimal costs, a resolutely creative and pragmatic process.

The other great ambition is to put our solutions within a general framework of sustainable development. This includes the protection of resources, the research of new solutions based on biodiversity, and the reduction in energetic costs due to frictions.

More than 30 people including 16 high level specialized researchers in analysis, chemistry and tribology.
- Eric GARD
- CEO, Enginneer in Chemistry and Tribology. Professor in charge of conference in ENSPM and Speaker at INSA Lyon. He has 30 years experience in the fields of lubrication and Tribology.
- Eliette PINEL
- Manager of group for laboratories. Doctor in polymer materials and Engineer in chemistry. Trainer in solid lubrication at ENSPM. She has worked at InS since the first years of its establishment. She is an expert in phosphatation and lubrication process.
Eliette Pinel is also a co-author of few IP patents in collaboration with InS clients.
- Jean DACOSTA
- Responsible for processes and pilot plants, with the benefit of 25 years experience in high technology solid lubricant base products manufacturing.
- Giovanna QUENDO
- R&D Commercial Manager dedicated to enhance the customer satisfaction.
PhD in organic chemistry, she completed her development by an MBA at EM Lyon.
She has more than 20 years of experience in industrial companies (chemical, pharmaceutical and textile).
The Trade
Original ideas laboratory, our unique feature consists of having at our disposal the capacity for both chemical and tribology research.
This allows us to provide well thought out and innovative solutions for our industrial customers’ problems (aeronautics, automotive, metallurgy, oil industry ...).
Our specialist laboratories (analysis, formulation, surface characterization, tribology) as well as our semi-industrial pilot plant allow us to validate the proposed solutions. These solutions will in many cases be sufficiently new to allow customers to raise their own patents.
Independent reporting and above all innovative culture are our main strengths.
